Walton Evangelical Church are delighted to announce that after much prayer and discussion the role of pastor has been offered to and accepted by Andy Bruins. Andy, his wife Sarah and their four young children will join us in Chesterfield in the Summer of 2018. Over the past 15 years Andy has served in Churches in Liverpool, Virginia Water and Kingston-upon-Thames working as youth worker and pastor and we look forward to him join us next year. May 2016 sees Walton Evangelical Church celebrate 30 years as a Church fellowship. On Sunday May 15th we are meeting together for a service and lunch to thank God for his goodness and faithfulness over the past 30 years and look to Him with expectation as to His lead and continued faithfulness over the next 30 years and beyond. On Saturday 16th April 2016 some of the Church went exploring Beeley Moor. It was a bit like 'going on a bear hunt!". We had a great time being outside, exploring the beautiful scenery, catching up with one another and young and old enjoying splashing in puddles. Please join us for our monthly walks! [...]
March 2015 saw the re-start of our church family walks - a monthly walk to share a time of fellowship together. During this walk 26 folk, young and old alike, met together to enjoy a walk around the lake at Holmebrook Valley Park. Please see the Church Walks page for future walks![...]
Saturday 29th March 2014 saw our first 'all-age family walks'! A group from church, both young and old enjoyed a bright and sunny walk around Holmebrook Valley Park. Everyone had a good walk, older folk avoiding the puddles whilst the younger contingent quite literally leapt right in. Please keep an eye out for details of future walks and events![...]
